Review

This app could be better for middle school aged kids

Nice easy to use app

I would recommend it

mostly worthless

The banner ads are in exactly the same spot at the main toolbar so this version is largely useless. I downloaded this lite version of the app to try out the functionality and decide whether to buy the $7.99 version. Hmmmm...

Used to be the best

Update: I went for the full paid app after I wrote that review below. Unfortunately, at some time the app stopped working reliably. It has not been updated but replaced with a new version that operates with a monthly subscription. So after paying for a premium app, Im now left with a piece of garbage that wont even allow me to work with maps I previously created. And to continue working, Im now required to pay for a monthly subscription (which I tried to avoid in the first place). Call it bait and switch. Call it greed. But its something I just wont support. Good bye. Old review: I was looking for a mind mapping app that would a.) allow me to export to PDF and b.) didnt require a monthly subscription or registration with a web site. DropMind meets these requirements. It took me a moment to figure out the context sensitive menus, but after that, I really liked the interface. The maps generated look clean, and I really like how notes for an item show up in a window at the bottom of the screen. You can drag items to change sort order or parents, which is very helpful. The layout is adjusted automatically, which I find very positive. Others might prefer more control. You can even adjust the path of the dependency arrow. There is a 3 map limitation in the lite version that is not immediately obvious, until you find the option to purchase additional map space. I was also not able to open a map file sent via email. Since the lite version does not have sharing enabled, this would make sense. All in all, I would highly recommend this to the casual mind map user and those trying to learn about mind mapping. I can see myself springing for the full version if I dont find any major flaws. Although the full version is a fairly high priced app, it avoids monthly subscription fees that will exceed the purchase price within 2-3 months.

Useless without subscription

You cant even create a blank map to try before you buy.

This is awesome !

I have been looking for a mind mapping tool and I think this is it. Thank you
